2-Part Magnesium Mix
Maintain Magnesium Balance and Stability
Magnesium plays a critical role in maintaining stable calcium and alkalinity levels by preventing excess calcium carbonate precipitation. Without proper magnesium balance, it becomes difficult to keep reef parameters stable. AquaReady Magnesium is formulated to support long-term stability by maintaining the proper sulfate-to-chloride ratio needed for healthy reef chemistry.

How Does This Fit Into Your System?
Use alongside your calcium and alkalinity dosing to maintain proper magnesium levels and keep reef chemistry balanced. Ideal for routine dosing, it helps prevent parameter drift and supports long-term system stability.

How Can This Help Me?
Designed for easy, consistent dosing as part of a balanced 2-part maintenance routine. It mixes quickly, dissolves cleanly, and leaves no residue behind. Ideal for weekly or monthly dosing and small adjustments, it helps keep your reef chemistry stable without complicated mixing or calculations.
As corals grow, calcium and alkalinity are consumed daily—but magnesium must also be maintained to keep those elements in balance. AquaReady Magnesium uses a precise blend of magnesium chloride and magnesium sulfate to replenish magnesium while preserving the natural ionic balance of your aquarium water. This helps calcium and alkalinity remain available for coral growth instead of precipitating out of solution.
How Does This Work?
How Much to Dose?
- As a starting point, take your daily Soda Ash dose and dose that same volume once per week for magnesium.
- If you dose 50 mL of Soda Ash daily, dose 50 mL of Magnesium once per week.
- Should be paired with AquaReady Calcium Chloride and Soda Ash.Soda Ash
Adjust your Dose
Test your Magnesium parameters weekly
-
- If they drop slowly increase the number of mL per 25 gallons
- If they rise slowly decrease the number of mL per 25 gallons
- Once they remain stable week to week, your dose is correct
Helpful Tips
- Always dose Alkalinity, Calcium, and Magnesium separately (wait at least 5 mins)
- Test regularly when making adjustments
- Stability is more important than chasing exact numbers
